How can I get free legal advice?

Answer:
As with many things, the Internet is a great place
to look for free legal advice.  A simple search for “free legal advice” should yield literally millions of results.  The tricky part is sorting through the results.  If you find a legal professional or law firm willing to offer free advice, it may be a good idea to do further research on them.

In addition, many websites have online forums that give advice, so you may even find the answer to your question all laid out for you.  If not, you can join a forum and post the question yourself to see what free legal advice will be offered.  Alternatively, some law firms offer online chat with an associate, who is able to offer limited online free legal advice.

Many cities also have non-profit legal associations that offer free legal advice.  Organizations such as Legal Aid provide legal advice on many different subjects, including tenants’ rights, custody issues, and immigration.  These organizations can be found in the Yellow Pages or online.
